Resource, Special Needs, and Personal Counseling

- Resource and Small Group Learning
  
  We are proud to employ three full time resources teachers who assist students who need extra support with their academics. We offer small group pull outs for K-8th grade for both Math and ELA. Small groups consist of 6 to 10 students and a dedicated teacher. These groups keep pace with curriculum, but receiving extra support for foundational skills and more one-on-one time with the teacher. This allows small group students to have the support they need while at the same time reducing the large group size, allowing the homeroom teacher to give more attention to those students. Everyone benefits!
- Special Needs
  
  Many of our students have formal Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), 504 Plans, or Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs). We are committed to supporting all students to the best of our ability and to be honest with parents when we cannot provide for a child's highly specialized needs. Students with special needs are supported by our Student Success Team, which includes Ms. Anderson (Resource Coordinator and 5th-8th Resource Teacher), Mrs. Thomas (Homework Club and 1st-4th Resource Teacher), and Ms. Clary (Co-Principal). This team partners parents as often as every six weeks to discuss and make goals to best support student success.
- Personal Counseling
  
  We are blessed to offer personal counseling to any family who is interested. Ms. Martinez is a licensed therapist who has worked with students from Kindergarten through high school. All sessions are confidential and this service is free of charge.
