I attended Catholic school from kindergarten to 12th grade. During my elementary school years, I attended both St. John the Baptist in El Cerrito and St. David School in Richmond. I also graduated from Salesian High School. I graduated with a BA in English Education from San Francisco State University. After graduating, I was an instructional assistant in the 4th grade at St. Philip Neri School in Alameda. While receiving my teaching credential from Cal State Teach, I was an instructional assistant in kindergarten at Corpus Christi Catholic School in Piedmont. Recently, I was the 3rd grade teacher at St. John Catholic School in San Lorenzo where I spent 5 amazing years. I am currently very excited to have joined the St. Patrick School community as the 3rd grade teacher!
I love introducing multiplication and division to my students every year and my students love it too! In ELA, we read a lot of fun stories, but my favorite is Charlotte's Web! In science, we delve into a lot of different topics that involve hands on activities, which enables students to explore and understand new concepts in a fun and interesting way. I love teaching 3rd grade because my students are always excited to learn! It is so exciting to see students draw connections between what they've learned in class to their lives outside of the classroom!
